To complement your journey with your Microenterprise Development Manager we’ve assembled a collection of resources that may assist you to continue to build your business confidence, including organisations that provide financial counselling support.
Davidson Institute: A Westpac initiative, the Davidson Institute offers a range of money management topics for individuals and business owners to assist building financial confidence. Content includes Live Webinars, Recordings, On-Line Tools and access to additional financial literacy support.
MoneySmart: An Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) initiative offering tips and tools to help make the most of your money. Specific guidance is provided to support senior Australians.
MoneySmart – Women’s money toolkit: A toolkit specifically to help Australian women manage their finances, make money decisions at key life stages and enhance their financial wellbeing.
MoneySmart – Indigenous money toolkit: A toolkit providing money tips for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
National Debt Helpline: A free service developed by financial counsellors dedicated to getting Australians back on track financially. This site has simple step-by-step guides explaining how to fix common debt problems. If you need more help, call 1800 007 007 to speak to a free and independent financial counsellor.
ATO Small Business Assist: If you can’t pay your tax on time, get in contact with the ATO as early as possible to find a solution before the debt becomes unmanageable. This Live Chat tool will help you locate and access relevant support.
business.gov.au: Features helpful guides to assist you set up a bookkeeping system, manage your cashflows, prepare for tax time and manage debt.
Centrelink: Log in to your myGov account to manage your payments, and find helpful information about Centrelink’s payments and services.
