Media Release, AACAP 2016 concludes in Laura

Many Rivers’ Community Economic Development is a pilot project that works with regional and remote Indigenous communities that have enterprise and employment goals. Our support focuses on strengthening governance and management functions and helping communities build and implement their strategic and business plans.

In February 2016 Many Rivers began working with the Ang Gnarra Aboriginal Corporation of Laura in Far North Queensland. Our support formed part of the Army Aboriginal Community Assistance Program (AACAP). This collaboration delivered practical and consistent capacity building activities and long-term economic opportunities. Many Rivers will continue to support the Ang Gnarra Corporation beyond AACAP and congratulate AACAP on all it achieved.
