FY17Q3 East Kimberley - McPhee Horses2What were you doing before you made contact with Many Rivers?
I was back in the community. My old man taught me everything about working on the station because he used to be a stockman, so he taught me all the things like saddle-work, mustering, horse-shoeing, feeding, horse-breaking and fencing.

What is your previous work history and experience?

Daniel and Sophie Ramos, Deosa Wholefoods
Grafton NSW | March 2017

FY17Q3 GraftonWhat is your business? How is your business going?
We have an Organic Food Box delivery business that delivers Certified Organic, seasonal wholefoods direct to people’s homes and offices. We pick up produce on Monday and Tuesday and deliver the boxes Wednesday and Thursday. We source produce from local farmers when possible and we also get produce shipped from interstate. Our business has been operating for just over a year now and it’s operating well, according to plan.

Why did you want to go into business?

Due to family health issues, we made the decision to leave the city and eliminate chemicals from our diet and life. It’s led us to live a happier and healthier life and it’s empowering to know you’re doing what you can and to see the amazing results of such changes. The power of our body to heal becomes so evident, once we eliminate those causes of disease. … Continue reading

FY17Q3 Roma - Yowah CafeWhat is your business? How is your business going?
I started a café – fast food take away, eat in basic menu with drinks in June last year. It’s in a remote location. It closed in February this year due to family reasons when I moved down to Victoria.

Why did you want to go into business?
There was an old café before and it’s a tourist town with no take away food. There’s a general store at a caravan but no pub or anything. It’s 200kms to the nearest town. I thought let’s see if I could do something about it!

Who referred you to Many Rivers?
I think I saw Many Rivers when I went into a tourist information centre in Cunnamulla. Many Rivers came up again when I did some internet searching for a business loan. I spoke to Colin on the phone then he came out to see me. … Continue reading →
