Peter Cadwallader

Chairman, Director

Appointed as a Director and Chairman of the Board on 15 November 2007. Peter is owner and Chief Executive of Intercontinental Shipping and Investment Group and has also been a Board member of Opportunity International Australia for many years.

CEO John BurnMr. John Burn, B.Sc, EMBA
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director

John has more than 20 years commercial banking experience, including 10 years across a range of senior leadership roles. John joined Many Rivers in October 2009 and was appointed to the newly created Chief Operating Officer (COO) role in January 2010. As COO, he was responsible for organisational leadership including culture, strategy, sustainability and management of all field operations and support functions as well as Chief Financial Officer responsibilities. In April 2014, John was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.

Leigh Coleman

Mr. Ronald Leigh Coleman

Appointed as a Director on 15 November 2007. Leigh has over 30 years experience in microfinance, heading up the majority of Opportunity International’s program work as their Asia Pacific Regional Director for 20 years.

David Bussau AM

Mr. David Thomas Bussau, AM

Appointed as a Director on 15 November 2007. Having founded Opportunity International, David is a pioneer of microfinance and has been working in microenterprise development for over 30 years. David has been recognised for his work in international development being awarded the Order of Australia; named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2003 and Senior Australian of the Year 2008.

Terence Winters

Mr. Terry Winters, FAICD

Appointed as a Director in September 2010. Terry is the Chairman of Seeing Machines Limited, Converge RTK Pty Ltd, Intelledox Pty Ltd and is a Director of Redflex Holdings Limited and Australian Home Care Services Pty Ltd. He has over 20 years’ experience in operation and governance of microfinance organisations with Opportunity International Network.

Appointed as a Director on 15 November 2007 at which time Ross was Executive Leader, Corporate Services at Mission Australia. Ross is now a senior business executive with a successful corporate career in the not-for-profit, private and public sectors.

Sinclair-GreyscaleMr. Sinclair Taylor, LLB

Appointed as a Director in August 2012, Sinclair has pioneered, and continues to lead, Westpac’s strategic alliance with Many Rivers. Sinclair is the CEO of the Westpac Foundation and prior to this he was Head of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds with BT Financial Group. Sinclair is an experienced commercial banker and was the founding CEO of Westpac’s Davidson Institute.

Ms. Catherine Yeomans, LLB

Catherine was appointed as a Director in February 2013.  Catherine is the CEO of Mission Australia. Prior to this, she served as Chief Operating Officer. With a law degree by academic background, Catherine has held positions in senior management roles with Thomson Reuters and LexisNexis. She is also a Director of Mission Australia Early Learning, Mission Australia Housing and Mission Australia Housing (Victoria).
